Jimmy Nail - 'Blue Roses'

Multi-platinum and multi-talented actor / writer / recording artist / songwriter Jimmy Nail has his new single 'Blue Roses' released on January 6th through East West Records.

The single is taken from Jimmy's new album 'Crocodile Shoes II' which has already yielded the hit single 'Country Boy' and achieved Gold status. The music from the album has been featured throughout the hugely successful 'Crocodile Shoes' TV series which comes to the end of its six-week run next week.

Jimmy also co-stars alongside Madonna, Antonio Banderas and Jonathon Pryce in Alan Parker's 'Evita' which opens across the UK in December and looks set to be the big Christmas movie this year.

'Blue Roses', written by Paddy McAloon of Prefab Sprout, is backed with 'Crocodile Shoes' (Live) and another album track, 'Fear No Evil' on cassette and CD.

Jimmy Nail's pop career began in 1985 with the Top 10 hit 'Love Don't Live Here Anymore'. In 1992 Jimmy scored his first no. 1 success with the release of 'Ain't No Doubt' before achieving phenomenal sales with the release of 'Crocodile Shoes' which sold over 1 million sold in the UK alone. 1995's 'Big River' album further established Jimmy as one of Britain's favourite and most successful musicians.

Jimmy Nail - 'Country Boy'
Jimmy Nail, singer/songwriter, actor, producer and director
follows the multi-platinum successes of his last two East West
albums "Crocodile Shoes" and "Big River", with the November
4th release of his brand new single "Country Boy". The single is
taken from Jimmy's eagerly awaited new album "Crocodile Shoes
II" which is released on November 18th and coincides with
Jimmy's reappearance on our television screens in the follow up
to the original "Crocodile Shoes" series. The TV series starts its
six-week run on November 14th on BBC1.

Written and co-produced by Jimmy, "Country Boy" is backed
with "Until The Day I Die" and "Just Can't Win" on cassette and
CD. 

"Crocodile Shoes II" is full of Jimmy's trademark heartfelt vocals
and style which has made him one of Britain's most popular
recording artists. Jimmy takes the lion's share of the songwriting
credits, but there are also writing contributions from Paddy
McAloon and Brian Wilson. Jimmy also co-stars alongside
